i know what 4LLL is. and also, i'm not looking for minimal algs necessarily, but rather the most optimal 4LLL

Sloths, unstickie this, its not THAT important... you stickie way to much! Take it down....

I agree that he stickies too much but i also agree w/ nasa for this particular thread.

Also, can someone give me a link to 4LLL that's not a video and isn't this link: http://www.geocities.com/rubiks_galaxia/4lookLL.html

Whats wrong about that link!?
That geocities link was AMAZING!
Its the most simple as you can get!

I agree with Nasa.

Also, Zero, I know PLLs should be learned first, but I was curious why they should be learned so much earlier.

Because they take longer to perfect.

Yea 4LLL is just a shorter but slower version of frdrich LL.  First you get the cross, then the whole top face, then permute the edges and finally the corners.

yes, it's a good link, but it has 14 algs + you need 3 algs to orient edges that aren't on that page (i know them though, so it's fine). but that makes 17 algs and i though you only needed 16... so can some1 explain that?

Yeah, it's because they include both A-perms. Those are the corner three-cycles, and you only need one of them for an effective 4LLL.

Also, I like the Y-perm better than the E-perm for the last case, because it's fairly easy, and includes two "free" OLLs.

for the A-perms, can you just make a turn on the U face if it's the wrong one and then it'll be the right A-perm and then it's just another turn of the U at the end? (if that makes any sense)

i'd say for sub-20:

"focus on mastering your method of choice"
(not everyone uses Friedrich for LL)

for the A-perms, can you just make a turn on the U face if it's the wrong one and then it'll be the right A-perm and then it's just another turn of the U at the end? (if that makes any sense)

Nah, one's clockwise and one is counterclockwise. However, both will permute all of the corners correctly whenever a Y- or E- perm won't (i.e. whenever two adjacent corners can be solved together with just U turns). The only thing is, if you happen to do the wrong one, it'll change the edge permutation around a bit.

Error: There's no magic cubing potion, you know.  Smiley As far as I know, he uses a 3LLL and Fridrich F2L. And maybe trying out multislotting? I don't know. I think the major thing is, indeed, practice.

Could you link me to the video?
I actually use 3LLL, but I am slowly converting to 2 LLL.
